Santa stops by James Jean

In light of my last post about his collaboration with Prada, and my general crush on his work, please Santa may I have a James Jean drawing/print/sketch?? They're surprisingly inexpensive.

Flora
Moleskin Fungi
Hare
I walked past Hare last year in Sydney when OutrĂ© Gallery had placed her enticingly in the window. She was exquisite. I ran in and they said that they were showing Audrey Kawasaki the following night. How fortuitous as I've long adored her work and it was by happy luck that I, gulp, bought a print. I love it. I'm pleased as punch every time I look at it and reminds me of a wonderful month in Sydney with my friends.

Oh Reiss!

Oh Reiss how you tease me!
Having entered their competition to win £500 spending spree in-store my grasp on reality wavered and I had a look what I would choose from their collection. I think I might need to win their prize three times over to cover my needs.

Nancy shirt dress in sand £110

Joss cream shirt dress £129

Peacock cream dress with cording embroidery £195

Liv silk roll sleeve top in blush £89

Galaxy gold heeled court in midnight £159

Garbo deco piped sandal in emerald £159

Papillon gauged detail swimsuit in khaki £59

Albi etched trim bikini in navy & cream £49

Windsor lock detail satchel in kingfisher £195

Richmond over the shoulder metal trim bag in pumpkin £195
Now, my maths isn't great (it's atrocious) but I make that £1,339. And I thought that I was being abstemious. I hadn't even included the knits or hats that tickled my fancy.

Santa & Prada's Fairies

Day five of the Christmas wish list and pieces I've pined for from the past are still playing on my mind. Such is the case with Prada's Fairy Bag from Spring 2008 illustrated by the boy-wonder James Jean.

Santa's Little Gems

Pippa Small jewellery... swoon. On the wish list. Infact, on any list... sigh.

Mexican Oyster Shell Large Single Drop Earrings
£1,100

Amethyst Large Greek Ring£1,900
Opal Greek Ring
£8,900
Rough Aqua Pendants with Faceted Bead Necklace
£4,800
I mean, I say these pieces, but really, how can you choose? They're all so delicious.

If clever husbands and boyfriends have beaten you to it and she's all sold out, I've always admired the Yves Saint Laurent design. Last year at Westfield I tried on such a beautiful necklace. My credit card must have smelt trouble and went on strike. But, just to give you some inspiration...

Arty Enamel Ring £165                               Arty Dots Ring w/ White Glass Beads £165
Large Arty Brass Cuff with Blue detail £345
all Yves Saint Laurent

HOWEVER, my sister gave me the prettiest Ottoman Hands earrings last year. Beautiful smoky quartz and jade. They've an outlet in Topshop in Oxford Circus and the rings are gorgeous (and lots less pricey).
Harem 1 £38 Ottoman Hands
Harem 4 £38 Ottoman Hands

Stylist's Advent Treats

I am happy and smug to say that I don't have to take public transport to work. It's a joy. I either bomb about on my motorbike (not very glamourous but a lot of fun) or at the moment I walk.

I do however mind on Wednesdays when Stylist magazine is dispensed. I had a nosy at their website to see what I'd been missing. They have such brilliant Advent giveaways! I am struggling to share this link as I reason there will be less chance of me winning but have a look at these genius prizes...

£500 to spend at Reiss                                                              £500 to spend at Kurt Geiger

There are also Aga goodies worth £350 on Monday 5th, a £395 pillar-box red Regent leather case from Aquascutum on Thursday 8th and a Nikon 1 J1 camera that I am properly lusting after on Saturday 24th.
Thank you Stylist, fingers crossed!

Santa Baby... deja Lan vu

I was living abroad when Lanvin for H&M fever hit London (not a mistake I will endure again for the Marni collaboration in March 2012). As a result I missed out on the ruby red chandelier necklace and have lusted since. It is therefore on day 3 of my Christmas wish list please Santa dearest.

Pretty please, with a ruby red necklace on the top.

I might have 'won' it on ebay last night...!

Leonora loves their birds & bugs

I'm loving Rose Sanderson's work. It's so pretty and tender.

It reminds me of British taxidermy artist Polly Morgan's pieces which are curiously beautiful.
