Elisa by Citizen Couture

What a flurry of posts today! I'm so honoured though that I had to tell you straight away. The super glamourous Citizen Couture posted a little sketch I did of Elisa Nalin on their tumblr and twitter. I sketched Elisa last week when I saw her photograph on Citizen Couture and loved her use of colour. Properly popping and fun.

Thank you a lot Citizen Couture!
(definitely check out the site... it's dreamy).

Anthropologie Drawn

I so loved the floral print of this dress from the Anthropologie look book I did a little watercolour of it.
I can see myself getting carried away with design again.

I Love My Tucker

Isn't this the prettiest of dresses? It is by Tucker and is exclusive to Net-a-Porter
Tucker designer, Gaby Basora designs some beautiful silk dresses and tops. I particularly like the florals (go figure) that she does rather than the graphic prints. It'd be perfect for all those summer weddings.
I just need to find the required £370.

Just a quick hats off to Fearne for rocking Temperley's wonderful Winter white Silvia Tattoo dress.

Best Foot Forward

My foot that tax isn't taxing! Utter rubbish. It's a lie of a strap line.
My head nearly exploded trying to do my sums. Well I did it, and on time which is a miracle really.

In true female economics, the moment I (gulp) paid my tax bill I reasoned I deserved a present. You know, like on birthdays, Christmas and random Tuesday afternoons. Emerald Street sent me a blast, I clicked the link, I saw, I liked, and I bought. All in under 60 seconds.

It sounds slightly reckless but these lovelies are from Asos, the wonderful website where posting is free. However they're a size 8. An Asos size 8, so probably not big enough. Rather lamely I know I'll have to send them home. I think I'm getting shopping withdrawals living in the sticks. I did remember to check with fashion guru Coco Chardonnay. She listed off the trends they hit and sent her seal of approval, phew!

B-Store or Be Square

I am a very excited young lady. Liberty has announced that Tom Finch and Coville-Walker Studio will be creating an installation space (aka pop up) for B-Store of Saville Row. And the ladies will get a look in this time. Proper yay.

From 13-28th February on the 2nd Floor, and online. I'll have to make sure I am up in London.

Couch Potato

I am not sure slumber could get any better than these utterly heavenly pajamas from Lanvin that knocked the socks off everything else that hit net-a-porter last week.
I want, I want, I want. Please.

The new online night wear label Dote has some gorgeous pieces too.
Just what's in order for the freezing British winter.

Last summer my mother swanned down to breakfast one morning wearing the most beautiful silk dressing gown. It is from the label Ming B and the whole collection is amazing. There are cotton, silk and for the more dashing luxe-slumberer, velvet. Yes please.

And the label that has been having a lot of press recently is Olivia von Halle's collection of silk pajamas. They really are rather gorgeous, and I love the piping. The behind-the-scene-shoot is quite fun too.

Gatsby Fever

Has anyone else noticed the plethora of drop waist dresses creeping onto the scene recently?
As a girl with no waist I'm loving this look and can't help but think it may be due to the remake of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. I know the book is loved by many but I found the characters too selfish & tiresome. But with Baz Luhrmann directing it'll be a visual feast.
And the clothes, the clothes will be incredible.

Flutterbye London

I've escaped London for a few months (good riddance to the burglars who thieved from my studio over Christmas. Shame on you.) I am itching to start painting and everywhere I look I'm inspired.
I cannot wait to begin and a little bit of Peter Doig and Gemma Ward are wonderful starting points.

Mary, Mary, How Does Your Garden Grow?

Aren't these utterly amazing?!
The first three images are from a series called Surreal Planes, of Mary Katrantzou's last season collection which have been photographed and then painted by Erik Madigan Heck.

Heck then created Florals for Katrantzou's current season collection.

Neo-Classical Navajo

In September, before I went away traveling I did a shoot for Tina Sparkle at West Wycombe Park with the gorgeous Jessie Chaney photographing. They were channeling the Navajo vibe.

This is one of my favorite shots from the afternoon.

Net-a-porter Pick of the Day

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at ten o'clock are peculiar moments to look forward to I admit. It's like getting photographs back from being developed 'in the old days'. There's a slight thrill before, and then either great excitement or a huge disappointment.

It was definitely the former this morning as net-a-porter pulled another triumph of an offering out of the bag (after an atrocious Wednesday morning).

All is forgiven, and I can get back to my daydreaming...
